JMEL is a management system which serves as an incubator to develop managers, owners and leaders.
By identifying as an incubator, the management system of JMEL is designed especially to bring premature mindsets to a place of maturity. Therefore, our managers and leaders are not surprised or perturbed when these mindsets translate into unseemly behaviour. The incubator is prepared for that. It is created for that.
JMEL is a retailer for of Rubis branded fuels and convenience store Items located at a number of locations in the Bahamas.
JMEL however, doesn’t develop people to sell gas. JMEL sells gas in order to have the resources to develop people.
At JMEL, the employees are not referred to as staff but as team members.
In the JMEL corporate structure, the proven leaders and managers are on the bottom and the new team members are at the top which is one of the ways this organization has parted from the norm. The managers and leaders at the bottom of the JMEL corporate structure are there to serve and support those at the top.
At JMEL, all team members are encouraged to write, remember and default to their “Who am I” Statements. Whenever things get difficult, team members are encouraged to operate based on the bigger picture of who they are, not on the smaller picture of what’s currently happening to them.”
